The perseverance and far-sightedness of this family–run business has been rewarded with important international success. The original company – established in the early 1900s was involved in the installation of plumbing and heating systems – had grown big enough to have its own foundry and produced lead pipe and  fittings. Plumbing technology has evolved and lead was replaced with steel, brass, copper, and finally plastics.
